C. Norman Shealy, M.D., Ph.D.

The gall bladder is one of the essential organs for digestion. Considering its small size, its importance has been known for thousands of years, and it certainly is the smallest organ with its own meridian in acupuncture. In Chinese cosmology the gallbladder is critical for making decisions. Dysfunction of the gallbladder results from the average American junk diet of hydrogenated and Trans fats, fructose, hormonal imbalances, obesity, diabetes, and a runny nose!

In all these situations you need extra bile salts! And after cholecystectomy, removal of the gallbladder, you almost certainly need extra bile salts! If you have gas, bloating, pain between shoulder blades, dizziness, nervousness, blurred vision, cramping of thighs and knees, pain along the lateral thigh, you probably need bile salts!!
