The Annual meeting of the North American Association of PhotobiomoduLation Therapy (NAALT) will be held from February 4th-6th, 2017, Coronado Island, just outside of San Diego, California. The growing excitement and enthusiasm for this innovative therapy has spurred rapid progress in both clinical research as well as manufacturing with new PBM devices becoming available. The scientific committee under the able leadership of Prof. Jeri-Anne Lyons, NAALT Scientific chair, has prepared a comprehensive scientific program encompassing broad range of topics on Photobiomodulation. Building on the success of the pre-conference programs at Arlington in 2014, as termed by one of attendees as one of the most useful ‘practical aspects of PBM therapy’, we now have a larger range of topics that were most attractive to past attendees. A concerted effort is being made to engage our industry partners at this meeting who are at the forefront of making PBM science a practical clinical tool. We hope you will join us and participate in exciting new sessions such as the ‘Tech Connect’ and ‘Lunch n Learn’ sessions.
As in every large organizational effort, this has been a great team effort. I would like to thank our executive NAALT board especially our treasurer, Dr. Randolph Merrick, incoming President, Dr.Terrence Baker and Vice-President Dr. Narda Robinson who have helped shape this exciting meeting. I also extend my sincere gratitude to our dedicated officials, NAALT secretary Ms. Molly Jenkins and NAALT membership coordinator, Ms. Donna Pattison whose dedication and hard work keep the organization actively functioning. A special thanks to Dr. Nicholas Wise who has steered the regular NAALT newsletter to provide us with the latest and most exciting developments in our field.
I hope you all will avail of this fantastic opportunity and join us for the meeting. Look forward to seeing many of you in California!
