By C. Norman Shealy, MD, PHD
According to Dr. C. Norman Shealy, the pioneering doctor who founded the American Holistic Medical Association (AHMA), when it comes to body, mind, and spirit, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. That’s because the health of each relies on and contributes to the other. And when body-mind-spirit is integrated through a view of holistic care, the whole can flourish.
The Spirit is the life. The Mind is the builder. The physical is the result.

It’s with great delight and a lot of love that I introduce this video in which my lifetime friend and colleague, Norm Shealy, M.D., Ph.D., speaks to you about his new book, Blueprint for Holistic Living. Norm and I have been together actually half my life now. I would not have ever pursued medical intuition were it not for meeting Norm and the work we began in 1984. I can tell you from the bottom of my heart and soul that this man is devoted to health and healing and to helping people in every way. He lives for that one task.
His new book is an excellent and very practical guide to helping you life a holistic life, not just heal an illness. I believe that’s one of the more outstanding features of Norm’s book. He’s an expert on nutrition and healthy living habits, as you’ll learn in reading this book. And he has amassed an archive of knowledge on alternative treatments for everything from chronic pain to depression and anxiety, all of which are very common ailments today. In fact, Norm was the first physician in the country to specialize in the treatment of chronic pain.
I hope you’ll check this book out for yourself. Those of you who have met Norm in our workshops already know that he is an extraordinary medical marvel and scientific wizard. It’s an honor for me to endorse his work, as it is to continue to teach along side him all these years.
