Packages of birth control pills on a table.

The Sad Truth About Birth Control Pills And Depression

In 1960, medicine proudly announced the advent of birth control pills, which, when properly used, prevents pregnancy about 91% of the time. Supposedly 99% effective if taken regularly. Besides the intended benefit, there are many potential side effects of birth control pills and depression is just one of them.

Despite the potential side effects of the pill, condoms, diaphragms, and spermicidal creams have become a thing of the past for most people. They opt instead for the apparent ease of a daily pill.

We had planned to start our family with our first child born in 1961. As part of our family planning, we chose to use a diaphragm and spermicidal cream which we continued using until my wife’s menopause. We never considered using birth control pills.

However, we saw the effects of birth control and depression with one of our cats. Our vet talked us into a birth control shot for a Siamese cat. She became hysterical and started killing all our baby chicks.

Then we bought a prize Appaloosa horse who miscarried her first two pregnancies because she had been given birth control shots to prevent her from becoming pregnant while on the show circuit.

These two events let us to avoid the pill for the rest of our lives! The risks were just too great.

Besides this anecdotal evidence, there is strong scientific research linking birth control pills and depression along with anxiety, fatigue, neurotic symptoms, sexual disturbances, compulsion, anger, and negative menstrual effects.

What is unclear is if these symptoms are directly the result of the pills or a psychological response to the practice of contraception. However, this distinction is immaterial if you experience any of these side effects.

Birth control pills and depression are only the tip of the Titanic. There are many other serious potential side effects of birth control pills.

Anxiety is another side effect of birth control pills. A 2004 study found that hormonal contraceptive users had higher rates of anxiety than nonusers. A 2018 study found that users of IUDs containing the hormone levonorgestrel also had higher anxiety rates.

Birth control pills can increase the risk of developing high blood pressure. It’s more in women who are overweight, smoke, have had high blood pressure during a previous pregnancy, have a family history of high blood pressure or mild kidney disease, and/or have problems with their heart or blood vessels.

Estrogen-containing birth control pills can slightly increase stroke risk. The risk is higher for women who smoke or have migraines with aura.

According to, high-dose estrogen birth control pills more than doubled the risk of breast cancer. Ethynodiol diacetate (a type of progestin) birth control pills also more than doubled the risk of breast cancer. Triphasic birth control pills with an average dose of 0.75 mg of norethindrone (a type of progestin) more than tripled the risk of breast cancer.

Those with a family history of breast cancer related to mutations in the BRCA genes should use caution before taking birth control pills. Families at increased risk of breast cancer may further increase their risk of breast cancer by taking birth control pills. The risk is higher for women who smoke or have migraines with aura.

Women over the age of 45 have a significantly increased risk of cancer if they are still on the pill!

Alfredo Jia, a researcher at the Center for Biomedical Research Network of Pathophysiology of Obesity and Nutrition, said in a report published in the Spanish magazine Quidate Plus that long-term use of birth control pills increases the risk of obesity by almost three times regardless of other factors related to obesity such as diet and physical activity. He is also quoted as saying that his study has confirmed that obesity is the main factor that has led many women to stop using birth control pills.

However, the pills also have some health benefits. These include lowering the risk of endometrial and ovarian cancer, ovarian cysts, cysts in breast tissues, anemia, as well as serious infections in ovaries, fallopian tubes, and uterus.

Whether you decide to take or continue to take birth control pills is a personal decision. Given you are researching the link between birth control pills and depression you are at least curious about the risks. My best advice is that you continue doing your research so you are comfortable with the decision you ultimately make.

Considering that 40% of American children are born out of wedlock, perhaps more birth control is needed. But I vote for a diaphragm and spermicidal cream over the pill.

Woman relaxing on a couch because she knows how to manage her anxiety attacks.

How To Manage Anxiety Attacks According To A Holistic MD

Anxiety and panic attacks can easily mimic emergency conditions that require a visit to an ER including chest pain, heart attacks, stroke, and many others. So, it is important to understand what the symptoms are. And to understand how to manage anxiety attacks and when to seek immediate emergency care.

If you are not sure whether you are having an anxiety attack or something else is going on, seek immediate emergency care.

Anxiety Attack Symptoms

The only difference in the symptoms of anxiety attacks and emergency conditions is their origin. Panic attacks are the result of thoughts and emotions that cause stress. Your body interprets this acute stress, which often comes out of nowhere, as “something is wrong.”

Some of the more common symptoms of an anxiety attack include:

  • Rapid shallow breathing (hyperventilation)

This type of breathing leads to a buildup of carbon dioxide (CO2) and intensifies the anxiety or panic you are feeling. Even those who are not experiencing a panic or anxiety attack become anxious when they hyperventilate.

  • Heart palpitations or a racing heartbeat

When your heart races and/or you have palpitations you are experiencing a fight or flight response. Your body is preparing for action by increasing blood flow. This normal reaction is helpful in the case of an actual physical threat. But it is uncomfortable and can be frightening when no threat is present which can exacerbate a panic attack.

  • Numbness and tingling in both arms and/or both legs

When your fight or flight response is activated, your body diverts blood from your extremities to your core and vital organs. And when you are facing a physical threat this is very helpful. However, when you are experiencing an anxiety attack this symptom leads to additional and perhaps prolonged stress.

  • Tunnel vision

In a threatening situation, being able to focus on the target or problem is critical to survival. It is another normal part of the fight or flight response. Yet when you are experiencing a panic attack, tunnel vision can add to the perception that something is very wrong and intensify your anxiety.

  • Mental fog

When you have brain fog it is difficult to concentrate or remember things. You may not feel like yourself. When you are having a panic attack, mental fog is frequently the result of the underlying and overwhelming anxiety and stress you are experiencing.

  • Sense of doom/fear of impending death

When you are in a life-threatening situation such as an accident or natural disaster, it makes sense that you would feel a sense of doom and/or fear your death.

And it makes sense that when you are having this anxiety attack symptom that your panic would increase and reinforce your fear of impending death or doom. Yet, the unique thing about this panic attack symptom is that there are no vital signs or other physical findings for a life-threatening condition.

These are just some of the most common symptoms of panic and anxiety attacks. What you actually experience when you are struggling with a panic attack will be unique to you. In other words, the exact symptoms of an anxiety attack may be different from one person to another.

What remains consistent from one person to another is that ER evaluations and follow-up tests including EKG, blood work, urine tests, x-rays, and other studies come back absolutely normal.

And, if you have never had an anxiety attack before, do not attempt to self-diagnose based on these symptoms. Immediately seek emergency care.

Once you have been evaluated by the ER or your doctor and have a diagnosis of anxiety or panic attacks, you may be susceptible to recurrent episodes when stress accumulates or you are facing a stressful situation. The following techniques will help you know how to manage your anxiety attacks.

Anxiety Management Techniques

After receiving your diagnosis of stress/anxiety/panic attacks, it is important that you become familiar with and aware of how your anxiety expresses itself. This will give you the ability to manage it instead of making repeated visits to the ER. Some of the most effective anxiety management techniques are:

  • Deepen and slow your breathing

Diaphragmatic or deep breathing occurs when your belly expands when you inhale. When you purposely take deep, slow breaths (inhale for 4 seconds and exhale for 4 seconds) your sympathetic nervous system begins to calm down. This means that your fight or flight response begins to settle. And then the other symptoms of your anxiety will also start to abate.

  • Become aware of your surroundings

One simple technique for getting out of the maelstrom of thoughts and fears you experience when you are having a panic attack is to purposefully notice your surroundings.

Start by paying attention to the feel of your clothes on your skin. Then, notice whether you feel warm or cold. Now, look straight ahead and notice what is in front of you. Then shift your gaze to one side and notice what you see there. Then to the other side and notice the details of what you see there. Maybe you notice a particular smell as you become more and more aware of what all is around you.

When you can engage your senses your parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for your rest response, can begin to take over from your fight or flight response.

  • Practice Biogenics® for self-regulation

Self-regulation is the ability to manage your emotions, thoughts, and behavior in a way that supports your long-term best interest. And it is one of the best ways to get control of your underlying anxiety, stress, overwhelm, depression, and panic that can trigger anxiety attacks.

Biogenics® is based on a self-hypnosis approach called Autogenic Training, biofeedback approaches, numerous mental exercises, and brain synchronization through binaural beats. It is one of the most effective means of developing the self-regulation skills necessary for managing anxiety attacks.

By mastering the tools for self-regulation, you will be able to manage your mental health and physical symptoms of anxiety attacks. And you will be well on your way to a better quality of life.

If you have received a diagnosis of anxiety or panic attacks, you are not necessarily consigned to a life of repeated visits to the ER. When you know how to manage anxiety attacks and your underlying stress/overwhelm/depression/anxiety, you can decrease the impact of any future episode you may have.

Additionally, when you put the tools for managing anxiety into daily practice you may even be able to prevent your anxiety attacks from occurring.

Neon sign saying "This is the sign you've been looking for."
Do You Believe In Reincarnation? Why You Should If You’re A Christian

Do you believe in reincarnation? Most Christians today do not. Yet the earliest teachings of the Church included reincarnation.

Origen of Alexandria was a great Roman fountainhead of Christianity and believed in reincarnation as part of Christianity. He is believed to have lived from 185 – 254 C.E. during a time of widespread persecution of Christians.

Origen believed that all souls are on a journey of salvation, even if it takes innumerable ages to do so. He reasoned that a single lifetime is not sufficient for a soul to achieve salvation. He also reasoned that some souls would require more lifetimes than others for education or “healing.” In fact, he believed a sort of continuity between the present body, and the body in the next lifetime was maintained.

However, this teaching was eliminated from Christianity by Constantine. Constantine wanted to be certain that people did not believe they had a second chance. So, the Council of Nicaea threw out reincarnation in 325.

Do you believe in reincarnation? I do not just believe in reincarnation; I know it as a fact. I know of 30 of my own lives going back over 3500 years.

Return of the Revolutionaries: The Case for Reincarnation and Soul Groups Reunited by Walter Semkiw lists the last two of my previous lives as John Elliotson and Matthew Thornton. Incidentally, in 2005, over the July 4th weekend, 35 of the reincarnates met, including the current reincarnation of John Adams and Thomas Jefferson, friends again.

In 1981, I met Morris Netherton, Ph.D. and master past life therapist. He created the practice of Past Life Therapy.

Although he passed away in November of 2012, Dr. Netherton processed over forty thousand sessions in which people lifted the boundaries of their minds and changed their lives. From the preface of his book Strangers In The Land Of Confusion:

Many sought therapy to heal physical and emotional pain and did, indeed, free themselves of addictions, phobias, and physical problems. They discovered earlier existences in which events and situations continue to create the structure of their lives today. They learned that spiritual evolution determines who they are from cell to soul. The exploration of this evolutionary process is what I call Past Life Therapy.

From Morris, I learned to be a past life therapist. I teach others who wish to become past life therapists and continue helping patients with past life therapy.

In one of my early sessions with a patient paralyzed from a gunshot wound and in severe pain, she gave a remarkable history of being Anne Boleyn, right up to the rolling of her head from the sword of a French swordsman. However, unlike most patients who experience past life therapy, she was totally amnesic of the story she had given.

When she came in for her therapy, she said she had accidentally shot herself. I played back to her the recording of her session. Despite hearing the same thing I did, she said she did not know the meaning of what she had heard. I said to her, “You just told me that you think your husband shot you.” She then said she remembered an argument with her husband and that he had told her she shot herself.

Yet, with this revelation, her pain was gone. She went on to divorce her husband and work as a counselor in a pain clinic.

Another patient with widespread metastatic cancer recovered completely after a past life regression which showed her unhappiness in her marriage.

Ninety-nine percent of patients experience a painful past life which leads to suffering in the current life.

What do you think now? Do you believe in reincarnation?

In past life therapy, only 1% experience a remarkably pleasant past life which becomes the foundation for happiness and relief in the current life. For the other 99%, past life therapy from a qualified counselor can help them overcome painful past and current experiences.

Doctor examining a man's back because he's complaining of chronic arthritis pain.

How To Reduce Chronic Arthritis Pain Without Drugs

Arthritis can affect any or multiple joints and most people experience episodes of or chronic arthritis pain, either after an injury or just with length of life. It is an inflammatory process, which means some dysfunction of the immune system. In fact, in every illness, there is some dysfunction of immunity.

For basic healthy immunity, you must have the 5 ESSENTIAL health habits:

  1. Body Mass Index (BMI) 18 to 24
  2. no smoking
  3. eat every day 5 to 8 servings of veggies and fruit
  4. exercise at least 30 minutes five days a week
  5. sleep 7-8 hours every night.

Unfortunately, only 3.7% of Americans have all 5 habits!

A depressed immune system is responsible for a huge majority of illnesses and premature death. There are more than 100 different autoimmune diseases in which the immune system damages or destroys one or more organs.

Some of the most well-known autoimmune diseases are overactive thyroid (Graves’ disease) or deficient thyroid (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), multiple sclerosis, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crone’s), rheumatoid arthritis, Lupus erythematosus, and psoriasis.

About seven percent of Americans have an autoimmune disorder, twice as often in women as in men but equally serious in both sexes. However, chronic arthritis pain is more often just wear and tear overuse in an unhealthy body or injury.

Chronic arthritis pain is increased by toxicity from fluoride, Roundup, and silver/mercury fillings which weaken the entire body, including our joints and immune system, and force us to need many times more than normal B complex, vitamin C, vitamin D, and Astaxanthin.

Disturbances to a normal nutrient, polysaccharides or glucans, are a root biochemical contributor to weak immunity and degenerative disease like arthritis. The liver and kidneys are our normal detoxifiers, but sweating is equally important.

Saunas are great detoxifiers and soaking in the bathtub with very warm water of about 110 degrees with 3 cups of magnesium chloride for 20 minutes is perhaps even stronger. And putting castor oil all over your body is one of the best.

Chronic arthritis pain is helped by immune strengtheners such as Cordyceps, Lions Mane mushroom, Tiger Tail mushroom, Ashwagandha, and Beta Glucans. Boron deficiency and magnesium deficiency also contribute to osteoporosis and arthritis.

All diseases lead to a deficiency in Dehydroepiandrosterone, DHEA, the anti-stress hormone. Do not take it-MAKE IT! DHEA is naturally increased 250% by Fire Bliss, Dr. Shealy’s Youth Formula, Dr. Shealy’s Magnesium Lotion, and Eugesterone

All illnesses, including a weak immune system, increase cell death with increased free radicals in the urine. Get yourself an Oxi-Data test kit and check your levels. If your levels are over one, the best choice is Crystal Bliss. Applied once daily it decreases free radicals a whopping 80%!

The Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF® used an hour or two daily improves chronic arthritis pain, as well as physiology throughout the body, mind and brain, putting you in the zone of optimal health. The only contraindication is an implanted pacemaker. Biogenics® Autogenic Training is also a great help.

As in every chronic situation, drugs fail in improving pain and immune function. They actually create more complications than cures. Personal habits and thinking are the foundation for health. Reducing stress and using this Comprehensive Holistic Plan is the key to comfort.

Two men doing pushups on sand in their quest for optimal health and performance.

How To Achieve Optimal Health And Performance Well Beyond Your 80s

Actually, achieving optimal health and performance throughout your life and well beyond your 80s is very easy to do if you have the basic essential health habits:

  1. Body Mass Index (BMI) 18 to 24. Only 28% of Americans have a BMI in this range
  2. No smoking. 78% of Americans are smoke-free.
  3. Eating 5 to 8 servings of veggies and fruits daily-less than 20% of Americans
  4. Exercising a minimum of 30 minutes 5 days a week—10% of Americans
  5. Sleeping 7 or 8 hours every night-less than 45% of Americans

Actually, only 2.7% of Americans have all five common-sense habits which are essential for optimal health and performance.

The average American’s life expectancy is 79 years, which is due in large part to genes shrinking too quickly. Genes shrink in those with the essential habits only one percent each year! Human MISBEHAVIOR shortens lives an average of 21 years.

And lack of these 5 habits is the major cause of most diseases.

In addition to lack of practicing these 5 habits, there are several major government causes of premature death!

Most Americans drink fluoridated water which one author called MURDER IN PUBLIC SQUARE! Fluoridated water is easily the most prevalent significant poison.

Next in line is glyphosate, present now in 75% of rainwater, created by MonSatan and allowed by our government. In fact, it is ethically and semantically wrong to call anything grown outside organic!

And our exposure to radiation in the atmosphere has grown exponentially since the 1940’s.

There are other things you can do to improve your overall health in addition to the 5 basic health habits.

In general, the basic B vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 RDA’s are all just over 1 to a maximum of 5 mg daily. And C was 60 mg. Because of pollution, I now believe you will do best with 25 mg of B complex and a minimum of 1000 mg of C daily. Other significant deficiencies are D 3 and magnesium.

We get very little exposure to sun and the soil is highly deficient in magnesium. In fact cattle farmers feed cattle extra magnesium or the cattle die of grass staggers. Unfortunately, we do not absorb magnesium well when it is mixed with protein fat and calcium. It is far better to use Dr. sHEALy’s Magnesium Lotion.

Optimal health and performance is reduced by stress, the cause of accelerated aging, illness and early death.

It can be physical, electromagnetic, mental, emotional, or spiritual. In fact, television may be the single greatest contributor to mental/emotional stress, with the main line media spewing alarm.

Today the FalseFakeFraudemic appears to have created the greatest shortening of life in modern times. In a major experiment to regenerate telomeres, where early results had shown a striking 8% growth of telomeres, the active group shrank 1 or 2% and the placebo group shrank a whopping 8 to 10%!

This means shortening of telomeres in 6 months at roughly 10 times the normal rate—all the result of government and the media exploitation. The CDC has temporarily admitted that over 90% of the nationally reported deaths are wrongfully reported as being due to covid-19!

The bottom line is you need to detach from those things you cannot change. This is the mental, emotional and spiritual challenge. There is only one purpose in life—to help other people. The real you is not your body, mind or emotions; it is your soul.

Optimal health and performance are enhanced in those who have an optimal spiritual life, with prayer and meditation, and no fear of death. You can shorten your life by unhealthy habits and the flaws of government and industry, but it is every day reverence for the experience that is the key to an optimal experience – even into your 80s and beyond.

Man sitting on a stump with his head in his hand wondering how to overcome anxiety.

How To Overcome Anxiety From The Fraudedemic

Ordinarily, telomeres shrink one percent a year in healthy individuals. In a current study to increase telomeres, telomeres in the placebo group decreased 10% while those in the active group, which should have increased significantly, dropped one or two percent!

This appears to be a striking generalized SEVERE anxiety in the population at large! Proof that the Fakefalsedemic is having not only economic but potentially serious overall health damage.

Many people who are experiencing anxiety as a result of the fraudedemic are afraid to die.

Personally, I have never feared death and I hope when I reach that inevitable time, I approach it with the equanimity I have always felt “If you’re going to die, you are going to die.” I know that the real I does not die.

The only solution for all of us is to detach from those things you cannot change!! One of the most effective ways to detach is to practice Autogenic Training twice every day!

Autogenic training works best when you have a foundation of health built on these ESSENTIAL health habits:

  • Body Mass Index 18 to 24
  • NO smoking
  • Eating 5 to 8 servings of fruits and veggies daily
  • Exercising at least 30 minutes 5 days a week
  • Sleeping 7 or 8 hours every night

To overcome anxiety you also need to reduce unnecessary stress which can show up as physical, mental, emotional, and chemical stress! Some simple tips for doing this include avoiding sugar, wheat, fluoride and all artificial foods. It also means drinking no more than two cups of coffee daily.

Unless you are more powerful than any one person known, in addition to following the above health habits, you still need to DETACH. If there is nothing you can do, DETACH emotionally from the situation.

The simplest tool we each have at our disposal for detaching and overcoming anxiety is our breath. There are dozens of breathing techniques for reducing anxiety. The simplest is just breathing in and out slowly, 5 to 6 seconds in, and 5 to 6 seconds out. Doing this just a few minutes most often reduces blood pressure to normal and quickly relieves anxiety.

There are also several tools you can make use of to help you detach.

The first is Biogenics™. Biogenics™ is a technique for retraining the nervous system.

There are over 50 Biogenics™ exercises on Browse them and select the one(s) that seem most appropriate to you. As you regularly do the Biogenics™ exercises, you will find that it becomes easier and easier to detach.

Another useful tool is the Shealy RelaxMate®, with flashing blue frequencies between 1 and 7 cycles per second produces deep relaxation in at least 90% of people.

The Liss Cranial Stimulator, now called Fisher Wallace used one hour in the morning raises serotonin, the bright-eyed wake-up hormone and beta endorphin, the natural narcotic.

The Shealy RelaxMate® and the Fisher Wallace Cranial Stimulator are safe electrical devices that are many more times effective than drugs or psychotherapy.

You may also want to use the Shealy-Sorin Gamma PEMF®, Pulsed Electromagnetic Frequency device an hour or more daily. The only contraindication is an implanted pacemaker or electronic device.

This is the only PEMF device that puts the brain into gamma, which is the state of detached joy, a state achieved by long practicing meditators. It resets the normal neutral electrical state of each cell, improves circulation, and reduces pain. Its greatest benefit is reducing anxiety!!

For those situations where the simple tools above do not work, consider Past Life Therapy. Often unfinished anger, guilt, depression or anxiety from the past leaves a gnawing anxiety. It can be from childhood or from a previous incarnation.

(Remember that reincarnation was part of Christianity until 325 when it was removed from the Bible because they did not want people to think they had a second chance. Read REINCARNATION IN CHRISTIANITY by Geddes McGregor!)

For those who do not or cannot overcome anxiety with the tools above, consider a one- or two-week intensive therapy program at Shealy-Sorin Wellness Institute. Forty or 80 hours of comprehensive, holistic therapy can help the most serious chronic physical emotional, spiritual problems. It is far better than a year of weekly hour sessions of psychotherapy!

No matter how you choose to achieve it, the only solution for overcoming the anxiety from the fakefalsedemic is to DETACH!!!

Tips for Building Your Immune System (According To an MD)

The immune system is at least as critical as your brain in overall health. Of course, every organ and system is important but immune dysfunction is a major cause of every illness. Building your immune system is more important than learning anything else!

Everything affects everything in the body, and a chief regulator of every organ is the immune system. Inflammation is the major effect of immune distress and immune function affecting all brain and mood functions, perhaps more than other organs.

Even aging is a chronic low-grade reaction to inflammation. The causes of inflammation include overconsumption of omega 6 fatty acids, sugar, salt, alcohol, bacterial and viral infections, allergies, parasites, hormone imbalances, genetically modified foods, heavy metals, pesticides.

Furniture, fabrics and rugs, and many personal hygiene products, all add stress. Building your immune system requires low stress. Stress is emotional, mental, chemical, electrical and radioactive. The number one requirement for a healthy immune system is low stress.

Stress creates inflammation, anxiety, depression, pain and insomnia. All of these are frequent co-factors with fatigue, muscle weakness, and eventually every conceivable organ dysfunction, especially of digestion, with GERD, indigestion, irritable bowel, constipation or diarrhea.

Stress also leads to arthritis, acne, hypertension or hypotension, irregular heartbeat, diabetes, obesity, osteoporosis, fractures with minimal physical stress, heart attack, stroke and cancer.

Building a healthy immune system begins with nutrition, especially consuming adequate Vitamin K 2 and D3.

Vitamin K 2 deficiency leads not only to Alzheimer’s Disease but K2 is essential for absorbing D3. Approximately 80% of Americans are partially or highly deficient in D 3 and K. Deficiencies in these essentials lead to depression, insomnia, arthritis, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes,

Heart disease, osteoporosis, estrogen or testosterone imbalances, and of course a weakened immune system and inflammation. At the top of the list of nutritional factors for building a healthy immune system is chlorella, a rare plant source of vitamin B 12.

Low levels of B 12 lead to arthritis, overactive thyroid or Graves’ disease, diabetes, hypogonadism, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, lupus Sjogren’s syndrome, Raynaud’s syndrome, gout, vasculitis, ankylosing spondylitis, and even rheumatoid arthritis.

Second to chlorella is adequate Omega 3, the major benefit of which is anti-inflammation and antioxidant effects of DHA/EPA which of course primarily affect heart, mood, anxiety, depression  Although fish oil is the best-known source of omega 3’s, emu oil is equally good

Additionally, emu oil is far less likely to have mercury contamination! The anti-inflammatory benefits include significant help with rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis, psoriasis, lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, and migraine.

Building a healthy immune system is far easier than treating the diseases of a weak immune system which all stem from inflammation.

The most popular anti-inflammatory drugs are aspirin, ibuprofen, and ketoprofen, these drugs often cause diarrhea and even bleeding.

Turmeric or its extract curcumin tops the list of safe and effective anti-inflammatory agents. Interestingly its benefits are increased when given with piperine or black pepper. Curcumin’s cousin, ginger also has significant anti-inflammatory benefits.

Turmeric and ginger decrease cortisol, the stress hormone, and are even more powerful when added to curcumin. Both are improved with piperine.

Chromium is also a requirement for optimal regulation of sugar & insulin. Chromium also assists weight loss, decreases inflammation and oxidative stress, while assisting in the metabolism of protein and carbohydrates, decreasing cravings and improving blood sugar regulation.

In addition to these nutritional supplements, the intestinal system is the most important for overall metabolic health, containing many more microorganisms than the total cells of your body! INDEED, these trillions of cells are ultimately the controllers of nutrition and health.

These health-enhancing bacteria are probiotics and they require prebiotics, mostly as fiber and sturdy starches. Seventy percent of your immune cells are the probiotics. Your intestine is ultimately the determinant of overall physical, mental and emotional health.

Unfortunately lactobacillus acidophilus, the primary probiotic occurs naturally in milk, and milk is often a trigger for inflammation and autoimmunity. Fulvic and humic acids are essential pre and probiotics, which chelate or bind toxins to remove them.

Building a healthy immune system can best be done with supplements providing vitamin D 3, K 2, cilantro, ginger, curcumin, aloe vera, astralgus, cordyceps mushroom, dandelion root, glutathione, piperine, goldenseal, rhodiola rosea, silymarin, pre/probiotics and L-taurine.

In building your healthy immune system, you are ultimately decreasing every disease, decreasing inflammation, pain, anxiety and depression, while improving health and longevity.

A Doctor’s Advice: Why You Should Consider An Anti-Inflammatory Diet For Chronic Pain

Virtually all symptoms and illnesses are the result of inflammation and everything affects everything. Other than breathing and water, food is the most essential for life itself. Following an anti-inflammatory diet for chronic pain is effective and fairly simple.

Eighty percent of your food should be vegetables and fruits and twenty percent protein. Since the average American eats only 2.2 servings of veggies and fruits daily, we have a long way to go to get healthy and prevent pain and illness.

Unfortunately, much of the soil is deficient in magnesium; even the vegetables and fruits in our stores are not adequate. In fact, even so-called organic foods are contaminated with glyphosate, since 65% of rain has Roundup® in it.

Unless you raise all your own food, it is impossible to get what you need to avoid inflammation and pain. Since 80% of Americans live in homes, at the top of the list for optimal health is to replace your lawn with a vegetable and fruit garden! As an added bonus, tending the garden is stress-reducing.

The anti-inflammatory diet for chronic pain means you eat nothing from a fast food restaurant and buy nothing from the center aisles at grocery stores! And, if possible you buy as much food as possible from a trusted organic farmer.

You also include as much fish and non-processed meat as possible. Incidentally, unless you are allergic to dairy, milk, plain yogurt, and eggs are excellent sources of protein.

Although legumes have good protein, there is no taurine, a conditionally essential amino acid, in any plant food. Taurine works synergistically with magnesium to keep your cells electrically balanced.

And of course, in today’s highly polluted world, we need considerably greater intakes of the B complex, E, D 3 and C vitamins. One of the major causes of inflammation is inadequate basic vitamins.

Finally, you need another essential: methylsupfonymethane, organic Sulphur, which helps prevent Alzheimer’s disease, allergies, asthma, chronic fatigue syndrome, chronic pain, constipation, diabetes, diverticulosis, hypertension, high cholesterol, and migraine.

MSM is also useful in preventing osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, tendonitis and TMJ syndrome. In fact, MSM is a major regulator of immune function, including protection from developing cancer.

If you are not going to commit to eating adequate vegetables and fruits, you may consider concentrates such as tart cherry juice concentrate, ORAC RICH GREENS and Kyani Sunrise. Beyond following an anti-inflammatory diet for chronic pain there are other essential habits to reduce chronic pain.

These include avoiding sugar, artificial foods, fluoridated water and getting adequate physical exercise and sleep. Everything affects everything, and that includes your thinking about life and purpose in life. Happiness is an inside job. Every thought is a prayer.

Anger, anxiety, guilt and depression are inflammatory emotions which can cause as much pain as a big physical injury. You cannot afford the luxury of wallowing in emotional trauma. This means that you need to have personal spiritual awareness.

Each of us is much bigger than any individual. We need an anti-inflammatory attitude towards everything in life. It means we need to sense purpose in our life and to do whatever we can to help others. The single best way to do this is to practice autogenic focus.

Physical exercise is one of the best anti-inflammatory tools, not marathon running, just moderate movement. Walking, yoga, using a vibration platform, bouncing in place are all good. Sitting all day is inflammatory!

Stress of all kinds is inflammatory. Physical stress, inadequate nutrition, junk food, inactivity, pollution and all emotional distress create inflammation and pain. Total stress reduction is the single greatest way to minimize inflammation

The anti-inflammatory diet for chronic pain is a life commitment to self-health, which includes every aspect of life – nutrition, sleep, physical activity and attitude. If you need more help then you may benefit from reading 90 Days To Self-Health.

What is Optimal Health and How Can You Achieve It?

Optimal Health is freedom from all signs and symptoms of illness or dysfunction. Assuming you were born with good health and have had excellent childhood nurturing and continuing optimal health habits, you are likely to have optimal health well into your 90’s!

Of course, you have to have adequate food, clothes and shelter and be free of anxiety and depression. For most individuals, this ultimately means being self-actualized, which means being at your very best every day.

Maslow said, “I think of the self-actualizing man not as an ordinary man with something added, but rather as the ordinary man with nothing taken away.”

Of course, just looking at health habits, at least 97% of people cannot be self-actualized because they lack one to 5 ESSENTIAL health habits!

What is optimal health? The lack of symptoms and dysfunction requires optimal nutrition, exercise and sleep, and relative freedom from the pollution of air and water.

Optimal nutrition requires 80% vegetables and fruit and 20% protein.

Eighty percent of food sold in the United States is junk, loaded with sugar and artificial additives. In general, potatoes, sugar and white rice should be avoided. That includes all those packaged dry products on the center aisles at grocery stores and at all fast-food restaurants.

Optimal nutrition means eating total calories that provide you a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 18 to 24.

But optimal nutrition is not enough to achieve optimal health. To achieve optimal health you must also:

  • Exercise a minimum of 30 minutes five days a week
  • Not smoke
  • Drink minimal alcohol
  • Not need any drugs
  • Sleep 7 or 8 hours every night

Beyond the care of your body, optimal health ultimately means that you are happy, that you have a network of friends (true for most people), and are organized and responsible. These are conscientious individuals who live longer and healthier than those who are not conscientious.

For most individuals, it means having a beloved mate and a family, with a home, and a meaningful lifework. The purpose in life is to help other people, and almost all jobs provide something of value to others.

It also often means having a significant spiritual life. Spiritual health is a feeling of hope, peace, tranquility, and oneness with God and the universe. Meditation, prayer and a wide variety of religious practices keep one feeling positive about life itself. If you do not have such, practice this: Autogenic training Basic Schultz.

There is a lot that is under your control when it comes to achieving optimal health. However, not all is.

The biggest problem in achieving optimal health is avoiding poison!

City water in most cities is polluted with fluoride, one of the worst poisons in the world. If we do not get rid of fluoridation within the next 20 years, there will be no more children. Male sterility today is 20 million sperm count, already down from 150 million 50 years ago!

What is optimal health? Freedom from poison in food, water and air.  Air quality in most cities is far from optimal. In addition, the electromagnetic background is toxic as is the background of radioactivity. Since 1940 background radioactivity has increased many times.

How can you tell if you have optimal health?

Optimally healthy individuals have longer telomeres, the tips of DNA, higher natural levels of DHEA, the natural anti-stress hormone, lower cortisone and adrenalin, normal blood pressure and blood sugar. They work no more than 40 hours a week and take time to enjoy life. They have higher levels of D 3, vitamin C, and antioxidants. They have essentially no symptoms, no anxiety, no depression.

Unfortunately, not more than 3% of Americans enjoy this state of optimal health.

Are you ready to change your habits to those necessary for optimal health?

So, if you ARE ONE OF THE 97% LACKING ESSENTIAL HABITS, now is the time to come to the rescue of your life and health. Start with your nutrition by avoiding wheat, white rice, potatoes, fast-food restaurants, and everything in the grocery store except vegetables, fruits, dairy, and non-processed meat.

If you do not already eat at least 5 servings of veggies and fruits daily, get ORAC-RICH GREENS and Moringa Olifera Super Mix and add those in a morning slush. Beyond that eat only items in the last paragraph.

What is optimal health? After the diet changes, consider bouncing for health

Then commit to sleeping 7 or 8 hours every night!

Finally, commit to doing Autogenic Training twice every day for 3 months. After 3 months, you will be joining the growing number of happy, longer-living, optimally healthy Americans. Become Self-Actualized.
