BASICS – THE BIOGENICS
In 1977, I created the concept of Biogenics, the ''genesis of life,'' with my first major book, 9O DAYS TO SELF-HEALTH. Initially this included a major ''software'' program for biofeedback and cassette tapes of a number of the mental exercises. Over the ensuing decades our research has expanded so that I can comfortably state that AVERAGE life expectancy should by 100 years IF one chooses a healthy lifestyle— Eat wisely, avoid tobacco and street drugs, exercise daily, keep weight within the ideal and BE POSITIVE.

There are a number of tools that assist this process and, indeed, by adding a few techniques, I believe average life expectancy can be a healthy 140 years. A truly wise lifestyle includes:

  • Be positive. My book 90 DAYS TO STRESS-FREE LIVING provides Biogenics exercises as a foundation for dealing with all unfinished emotional issues. Eighty-five percent of depressed patients who follow this program after initial non-drug therapy remain out of depression. Great tool for all people.
  • Magnesium deficiency is epidemic. Everyone with normal kidney function will benefit from magnesium supplements. Oral magnesium is notoriously poorly absorbed.   • The Rings—We have demonstrated that stimulation of 5 specific circuits in the body selectively enhance natural, essential neurochemicals. Using the SheLi TENS, one can optimize DHEA, neurotensin, aldosterone, calcitonin, and reduce free radicals. At least the DHEA, calcitonin and free radical components are crucial for longevity.
  • Basic supplements-our food supply is not necessarily optimal in essential nutrients. Thus, I believe that most individuals will be healthier and feel better with supplements. These are outlined in my Recommendations for everyone.
  • Water-Biogenics Water Conditioner, laminar micoid crystal, embedded in pottery, appears to change the hydrogen bonding of water. Plants grow 20% faster and greater volume. Most individuals prefer the taste.
  • Relaxation is the greatest antidote to stress. Daily relaxation for 30 minutes lowers adrenalin production and insulin requirements by 50% for the entire 24 hours. We have found the Shealy RelaxMate to be the best adjunct for relaxation.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR OPTIMAL HEALTH, BASICS FOR EVERYONE

DIET:
Emphasize fruits, vegetables, nuts and a wide variety of flesh foods (fish, beef, chicken, pork, etc) Whole grains in moderation; potatoes and starches in moderation
Butter and NEVER margarine
Olive oil for cooking and salads
One to two eggs daily, unless you have FAMILIAL hypercholesterolemia
Old-fashioned peanut butter; NEVER hydrogenated or with sugar. Smuckers is best.
Almonds, cashews, pecans, and peanuts or fruit for snacks or to satisfy that ''extra'' need
Cheese, yogurt, buttermilk, unless allergic to milk

SUPPLEMENTS:
90 to 110 pounds:
2 Dr. Shealy's ESSENTIALS
3 Dr. Shealy's YOUTH FORMULA
2 tsp Biogenics Magnesium Lotion on skin twice daily

111 to 130 pounds:
3 ESSENTIALS
4 YOUTH FORMULA
2 teaspoons Magnesium Lotion twice daily

Above 130 pounds:
4 ESSENTIALS
4 YOUTH FORMULAS
3 teaspoons Magnesium lotion twice daily

ALL men after age 50:
Beta sitosterol, 1200 mg daily

IODINE:
Check your temperature a few times. If oral temperature before you get out of bed is below 97.6; or if your mid-day temperature is below 98.6 YOU NEED IODINE. Take Iodolar one tablet daily forever.

EXERCISE:
At least 3 hours weekly of moderate activity. Optimal is 7 to 14 hours!

SELF-REGULATION:
At least 30 minutes daily of deep relaxation, Autogenic Training, Meditation, etc. Avoid negative news in depth, violent movies, TV, etc. Appreciate nature and the Divine! Best presented in my book 90 DAYS TO STRESS-FREE LIVING.

OUTSIDE:
At least one hour daily

SEX:
At least 2 to 3 times weekly. If you do not have a partner, learn to enjoy masturbation!

WATER:
Two quarts of non-chlorinated, non-fluoridated water daily.
