Since the publication of this remarkable article by John P. A. Ioannidis, I have struggled even more than before about truth and reality. Actually since the publication of A COURSE in MIRACLES in 1976, I have toyed with the statement that nothing is real or that everything is an illusion! Indeed I even wrote an allegory, PONY WISDOM for the SOUL based on the experiences of one of the most remarkable intuitives I have known.
Now, as I see so-called scientists arguing that Roundup® is safe, when the available evidence strongly supports it as one of the worst and most dangerous poisons known, I have to agree with Professor John Ioannidis! The recent finding that the Attorney General of New York found that Wal-Mart, Walgreen and GNC sold many supplements that had NOTHING real in them emphasizes the impossibility of us knowing anything! The ridiculous U.S. and Fed Reserve pretending that the economy is “recovering” when the greatest fraud in all financial history, derivatives, remains ignored adds to total uncertainty. The warming of the climate seems real enough, even though the contribution of humans to this problem seems miniscule. But every known bit of data of the climate throughout millions of years supports periodic 90,000 year cycles of glaciation and roughly 10,000 years of warm periods. See John Hamaker’s THE SURVIVAL of CIVILIZATION and Paul LaViolette’s EARTH UNDER FIRE. Then read CAESAR’S MESSIAH to decide for yourself whether the entire NEW TESTAMENT is a fake created by the Fabian Caesar’s to help Rome take over the world in a different way. And of course, there is my old favorite POPULAR DELUSIONS & THE MADNESS of CROWDS.
SOMEHOW, in this totally chaotic mess, we must individually detach as well as possible, introspect and intuit for ourselves what to think and believe. I hold most dearly to my belief that the ONLY purpose in life is to help others to the best of our ability. And to use my intuition and any possible wisdom to make choices for what I do and recommend!
